SJU focuses on
- Raising pastors for the church on the basis of the constant relationship with the Presbyterian Church of Korea
- Practical education for bringing up competent social service agents through mutual cooperation of the church and social welfare organizations
- Developing various courses of education and raising men of ability who meet the needs of local society in the age of localization
- Education of language and classical liberal arts for the sake of global men of culture and refinement
